SolMed Medical Products knowledge management is
structured to support each of its four functional areas – Operations,
Finance and Administration, Information Technology, and Legal. Data for
the company is stored in a central data warehouse. Inputs from each of
the functional areas are sent to the data warehouse. Data required by
each of the four functional areas are then distributed to data marts for
each of the functional areas. Operations data is distributed from the
operations data mart to five data marts broken down along the five
product lines. |
